About Us

Transforming Therapy Services is a multi-disciplinary clinic in Blacktown NSW. We use a mixed framework of practice integrating DIR Floortime, Neuro Developmental models and Bottom up approaches to provide an individualised service for our clients.

Opened in 2016 by Clinical Director Bridie Travers, Transforming Kids uses a client centered and client led approach to building skills. This means our sessions are built around your interests with your clinician using varied approaches to build skills from your current level.

Transforming Kids does not use behaviouralistic approaches such as Applied Behaviour Analysis. INSTEAD we analyse client development and behaviours creating a customised plan to build and grow skills which are producing the challenge in development or the behavioural problem.

  • DIR and DIR Floortime

    All our clinicians are trained in DIR Floortime which enables our sessions to be child led whilst also focused on skill development.

  • Sensory Integration

    All of our clinicians are trained in sensory integration. We do not believe sensory integration is only for OTs and train all our clinician’s to use sensory integration techniques to support overall skill development.

  • NeuroDevelopmental Therapy

    All our clinicians are trained in neurodevelopmental therapy and using a hands on approach to motor learning.

  • Synergetic Play Therapy

    All of our clinician’s are trauma informed and utilize SPT as one framework for integrating trauma.

  • Bottom up

    Bottom up simply means to grow skills from what we have to higher more complex skills. In opposition to top down models such as ABA, bottom up enables integration of skills developing functional and generalisable skills simultaneously.

  • Collaborative and Proactive Solutions

    Our Senior Staff are trained in CPS and utilise CPS to work collaboratively to solve problems with children through to adults. As a company we aim to have all clinicians trained in 2025.
